This project involves the development of a torchlight design that would fulfill the criteria of functionality along with the consideration of human factors and emotional aspects.
The curves on the body was created to fit the human hand when grasping the torchlight for a better grip. The hoop on the back allows the user to easily carry the torchlight around by looping it onto their bags and it can also reinforce the grip when controlling the switch. The flat surfaces near the head of the torchlight allows easy placement of the torchlight on a surface without it rolling around and the flat part with the bulb also allows the torchlight to be placed head down for easy storage.
The final product was created using the software 'Fusion 360' and then 3D printed out, which was then subjected to layers of car putty and spray paints.
